Introduction about the Laboratory of The Advanced Semiconductor Devices and Optoelectronics Integration (LASDOP):

The Laboratory of Advanced Semiconductor Devices and Optoelectronics Integration was established in 2011, is an important part of the Anhui Provincial Key Laboratory of Advanced Functional Materials and Devices. The laboratory is committed to the development of high-performance photodetectors based on new structures and new principles, as well as embedded system-level design and algorithm research for intelligent photoelectric real-time detection applications. At present, the laboratory has electron beam direct writing system, molecular beam epitaxy, chemical vapor deposition, pulse laser deposition system, magnetron sputtering, electron beam evaporation, ultraviolet lithography, semiconductor parameter tester, CCS-350S low-temperature cycle refrigeration system, etc. It has a set of device preparation and electrical performance testing systems, as well as applied research equipment such as short-wave infrared and near-infrared spectrometers, hyperspectral cameras and multiple types of development boards. The fixed assets of instruments are nearly 10 million CNY.

 

Biography of Professor Luo:

Prof. Luo is currently a full professor of the school of microelectronics, Hefei University of Technology, and a senior member of the international institute of electrical and electronics engineers. He received his PhD degree at Department of Applied Physics, City University of Hong Kong in 2009, and joined in Hefei University of Technology in 2011. He has long been focused on the study of high-performance optoelectronic devices and optoelectronic integration technology. He has published over 230 peer review papers in academic journals such as IEEE TED, IEEE EDL, Adv. Mater., Nano Lett., Laser Photonics Rev., etc. These papers have been cited for more than 12,000 times (Google), with a personal h-factor of 58. He was once selected as the world's top 2% scientists (Stanford) and the world's top 100,000 Top scientists, and Elsevier 2022 Highly Cited Chinese Researchers.
