Introduction
The School of Microelectronics is the National Model Microelectronics College, established in 2012. The school has a doctoral degree program (Integrated Circuit and Systems), a master's degree program (Electronic Science and Technology), and a professional master's degree program (Electronic Information), the undergraduate majors includes electronic science and technology, microelectronics science and engineering, integrated circuit design and integrated systems, among which two majors (electronic science and technology, integrated circuit design and integrated systems) are national first-class undergraduate majors, and microelectronics science and engineering are first-class undergraduate majors in Anhui Province. At present, the school has over 350 graduate students and over 1400 undergraduate students.
The school currently has 72 faculty members, including 55 full-time teachers, with over 90% holding doctoral and master's degrees. There are 20 professors and 28 associate professors, including 13 doctoral supervisors and 34 master's supervisors. The school has three provincial and ministerial scientific research platforms, including the Ministry of Education integrated circuit design Online Cooperation Research Center, Anhui MEMS Engineering Technology Research Center, and Anhui ASIC Integration Technology Engineering Research Center.
After years of accumulation, the school has formed advantageous directions such as IC design, advanced testing and reliability design, semiconductor optoelectronic devices and integration technology, MEMS, sensitive materials and sensors, electromagnetic and microwave devices, nano circuit design, etc. The school has various IC design and semiconductor device simulation software such as Cadence, Synopsys, Mentor Graphics, TCAD, and Huada Jiutian, as well as Atomistix Virtual NanoLab nano device analysis and simulation software, Ansys MEMS design software, and other typical semiconductor process equipment and testing equipment.
The school has undertaken more than 80 scientific research projects, including the National Key R&D Plan, NSFC, the Anhui Provincial Science and Technology Major Special Project, etc., and more than 100 research projects commissioned by enterprises. It has won multiple awards such as the Second Prize of National Science and Technology Progress Award, the Third Prize of National Science and Technology Invention Award, and the Provincial and Ministerial Science and Technology Progress Award. In the past five years, the faculty and students of the college have published over 100 papers annually in international important academic journals such as IEEE Transactions, Advanced Materials, Chinese core journals, or international and domestic important academic conferences, and have authorized more than 10 invention patents, integrated circuit layout designs, etc., forming a certain academic influence.
The school actively collaborates with enterprises, and has successively carried out Industry-University-Institute Cooperation with enterprises such as China Electronics 38 Institute, China Electronics 58 Institute, China Ordnance Industry 214 Institute, CXMt, Nexchip, AMEDA, MacroSilicon, Lakesemi, etc. Multiple achievements have been applied in national and local key projects and national defense projects. The school has established exchange and cooperation relationships with several well-known universities in countries such as the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Sweden, Japan, and the Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan regions of China, conducting cross-cultural exchanges and practical activities, as well as various academic exchange activities.
