Yongsheng YIN, PhD, was born in Xilinhot, Inner Mongolia, China, on January 1, 1973. He received the B.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Precision Instrument from the Hefei University of Technology (HFUT), Hefei, Anhui, in 1995 and 2006.
From 1995 to 2000 he worked for the Baotou Research Institute of Rare Earths servicing analytical instrument. From 2006 he served on the faculty in the VLSI Design Institute (VDI) in the School of Electrical Engineering and Automation at HFUT, first as Assistant Professor and then from 2008 as an Associate Professor. In 2009 he joined a new School of Microelectronics at HFUT where he was promoted to Full Professor in 2013. Then he served as the VDI director and the Integrated Circuits Department chair from 2013 and 2019. During his tenure at HFUT he has been the major professor to more than 80 postgraduate students. In addition, he has done consulting for companies and government. Over the last 20 years his research/development interests and publications have been focused on: analog-to-digital/digital-to-analog data conversion, analog and digital integrated circuit design, reconfigurable computing, and design of digitally-assisted analog circuits and systems. He is the named inventor on over 50 CN patents. He is a member of the TCICD of CCF, a visiting professor at CETC-Chip Co.. He received the third Anhui Province Science and Technology Progress Award in 2001 and 2019 and the best paper award in CCF HPC China 2007.
