Jie (Jayne) Wu is currently a professor at the University of Tennessee in the United States. She graduated with a bachelor's degree from the Department of Applied Physics at Hefei University of Technology in 1993, obtained a master's degree from the university in 1996, a doctoral degree from the Chinese Academy of Sciences in 1999, and a doctoral degree in electrical engineering from the University of Notre Dame in the United States in 2004. Professor Wu has been engaged in research in fields such as MEMS, microfluidics, and sensors for a long time. In 2005, she was awarded the NSF Career Award in the United States, and in 2006, she was awarded the Powe Junior Faculty Award by Oak Ridge Associated Universities.
